My goal is to help you break free of the disordered behaviours and thoughts that are controlling your life. I will help you transform your relationship with food, your body and with yourself, so that you can live a life full of authenticity, fulfilment and happiness which I truly believe is possible for each and every one of us.

What I do

as a

Coach

As a coach, I work with you on the here, the now and the how. I help you deal with your current thoughts and behaviours and will provide you with a skill base that you can use in your daily life.

I am trained to help my clients in unique real-life situations, in other words, I get in the trenches with you. For example, eating at a restaurant, eating feared or triggering foods, cooking meals at your home, going to a yoga or gym class, buying clothes or going to a social event – these are all ways I can support you in your day to day challenges where your eating disorder self is in control.

Known as Exposure and Response Prevention, I am right there by your side in the moments where your eating disorder voice is likely to be the loudest, leading to increased stress and  anxiety that results in your actual eating disorder behaviours.

I assist clients in reaching their treatment goals in real life situations by providing support, appropriate challenges and serving as both a role model and guide.

I will complement the work that you’re doing with your treatment team, liaising with them to help implement the goals you are working together towards in the ‘’real world’’. This is what I’m trained to do.

One of the key things I provide is on-call support via sms, email and phone calls. This enables me to help you deal with difficult situations as they arise and help you break destructive pattens of behaviour.

I find it so rewarding to be able to support my clients in the day-to-day aspects of their recovery and to help them awaken and strengthen their vibrant, healthy selves.

  • Exercise for enjoyment rather from necessity

  • Remove the negative self-talk and be happier in your own skin

  • Find happiness in your relationships and hobbies

  • Find purpose and meaning in your life - Become more motivated to work towards being the best version of yourself.

What does it mean to be 'Recovered'

“The person can accept his or her natural body size and shape and no longer has a self-destructive or unnatural relationship with food or exercise. When you are recovered, you do not use eating disorder behaviours to deal with, distract from, or cope with other problems. When recovered, you will not compromise your health or betray your soul to look a certain way, wear a certain size or reach a certain number on the scale.” – Carolyn Costin
